The building which currently houses the Tower Museum is the only existing remnant of the walls that defended the city of Haro from the 12th century. Known as"Torre de los presos" (The Prisoners' Tower), it was abandoned in the 15th century, passing into private hands for several centuries.
This space, recovered and reinvented as a section of the Museum of La Rioja, houses the contemporary art collection of the artists in our community who have received different institutional awards.
