It was part of the feudal estate of Cameros de Los Arellano and subsequently it belonged to the Counts of Aguilar.

-Surrounding area: The 17th century San Miguel and San Martín Chapels. The first of these chapels is abandoned and the other has been turned into a private property. There is a 16th century aqueduct with two semi-circular arches over the River Rabanera. The villages of Larriba and Torremuña (uninhabited). The Real Mountain is a wonderful place for an amazing walk through the National Hunting Reserve.

The municipality is close to the LR-250 road, 43 km from Logroño and 916 metres above sea level. There are some very large trees (horse-chestnut, lime, etc. ) and some interesting houses. There is a pelota court, a square, children's playground and there are lots of paths.

Canales de la Sierra is a town in the autonomous region of La Rioja, 84 km from Logroño. It is in the southwest of the province, at the head of the Najerilla valley and 1027 metres above sea level. The town measures 54 km². There are around 85 registered inhabitants, although in winter this drops to around 19.

This is a mountainous municipality that has been farmed for years. It was a village belonging to Ortigosa until 1817. Now it is a tourist village between the reservoir and the mountain.

Ezcaray is a municipality in La Rioja, Spain. It is in the upper Oja Valley in the southeast of the autonomous region. The municipality's population is currently 2098, according to 2010 data from the Spanish national statistics institute.
