Tonelería Gangutia is a cooperage with a hundred and twenty-five year history of craftsmanship heritage in Cenicero, in the heart of La Rioja Alta. The Gangutia surname has been linked to barrel manufacturing for five generations.

During the tour, you can see the barrel toasting process, the tools museum, and cooperage employees making barrels.

Located in the heart of La Rioja Alta, in Cirueña. Covering more than one million square meters, this 18 hole, par 72 course offers great variety and 101 sand and grass bunkers, making it suitable for golfers of all levels.

Facilities include a clubhouse, games area, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping malls and club and cart hire. There is a special personalised golf school with a driving range measuring 280 metres by 100 metres and two levels, allowing up to 60 players to practise simultaneously.

Part of the French Route to Compostela, 15 km from Logroño, stand the remains of the cliff top castle of Clavijo where according to legend, there was a battle during which the Apostle St James appeared on his white horse, to support the Christian troops.

The tale tells how the battle was planned by Ramiro I to put an end to the shameful Tribute of the Hundred Maidens which had to be handed over each year to the Emir of Cordoba under a non-aggression pact. The intervention of Santiago inspired the Christian victory and in gratitude, Ramiro I granted in Calahorra on 25 May 834, the Vow of Santiago requiring all the peasants of the north of the Iberian peninsula to pay a tithe in the form of grain to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela

Muy conocido es el principal rastro de este yacimiento. Sin embargo, a pesar de su belleza y su buen estado de conservación no se tratan de huellas en el estricto sentido de la palabra, si no de lo que los técnicos llaman calcos: el barro que conservó la impronta no es la capa directa sobre la que pisó el dinosaurio, sino el estrato inferior que todavía estaba blando. De todas formas los restos en todo el entorno son muy numerosos y podremos encontrar huellas de diferentes tipos sin mucho esfuerzo.

Llama la atención que aquí se han localizado también icnitas de otros animales que se atribuyen a pequeñas aves, a tortugas y a pterosaurios. Los últimos años se están realizando importantes campañas que seguro que podrán aportarnos nuevos e interesantes datos sobre estos textos.
