Cornago (00 min) Exit the village on the road that leads to Igea. Before reaching the crossroads, take the path on the right that leads to the slaughterhouse. Slaughterhouse bridge (10 min) Cross the bridge over the Regajo Ravine and go towards the old threshing floor next to some hay lofts. Turn right and go up the path from Cornago to Valdemadera. The path leads up a rock platform and then zigzags and turns right, leaving you on a trail. Trail (25 min) Cross the trail straight and continue up the rock platform next to a very eroded ravine that you have to cross several times. Once this stretch is overcome, the path becomes flat before reaching the Valcenón hill. Valcenón Hill (1 h 10 min) After starting the descent in zigzag, the path becomes a by-path. Immediately leave the by-path and take the old path to Valdemadera that starts on the left and descends towards the pens of the Peña Higuera Ravine. Peña Higuera Ravine (1 h 30 min) Cross the ravine and continue straight on the right river bank that goes up towards the south. Little after, leave it to continue ascending among old croplands. Cross a trail and continue ascending. Afterwards cross another trail and follow it to the right for about 200 m. Then leave the trail and take the path on the left. After passing a hill, the path turns right to a small slope that sometimes passes next to a noticeable hosting rock and sometimes over a rock platform, until it reaches the pens of Tiro Canto, where it turns left and takes a fire lane. Fire lane (2 h) Follow the file lane that goes up on the left until your reach a trail that continues to the left. During the descent, ignore the split in the trail that goes left and continue descending on the right, until you reach the bottom of the Carnanzún Ravine where there is a booth. Carnanzún Ravine (2 h 40 min) The trail turns left and enters the Monte Umbría del Cántaro. The path is lined with reforestation pines that have perfectly adapted. This is the only continuous forest area that you will see in the stretch. The slopes are covered by bearberry. Continue 2 km and take a by-path that appears on the right of the trail in one of the curves. By-path (3 h 10 min) The path has markers and, after a steep slope, a fire lane is reached. During this short journey, it is possible to see on the ground a lot of cubic pyrite (iron sulphide). Cross the fire lane and take the path that starts in front and ends in another trail. Turn left and, after 50 m, leave the trail to take a route on the right, by some pens, that enters a ravine. Pens (3 h 25 min) You can get a good view of the Alhama and Moncayo Valleys. Cross a field and, after some zigzag, the route comes on the right side of a ravine, which is sometimes deep. Leave the ravine after a wide turn that circles La Era del Tonto and its small ravine, that has remains of buildings and a threshing floor. Take the route that is parallel to the right bank of the river, which is now runs between steep banks. Before reaching the first croplands, the path turns right and ascends slightly over the fields. Little after, you will reach a well-defined route. After circling an estate next to the slope, the path leads towards the river bed, which is normally dry. Cross the channel and continue on it about 200 m. Ascend the slope on the left side. A few metres after, the path turns into a trail that goes into Casillas de San Esteban. Casillas de San Esteban (4 h 55 min) Once in the village, turn left on the trail that starts in the Chapel of San Esteban, that you should follow until it converges with the canyon that forms the Canejada Ravine.
