Cervera del Río Alhama (00 min) Start from the bridge, leaving the road to Aguilar del Río Alhama to the right, and continue on the road to Cabrerón y Valverde, passing by the old municipal slaughterhouse. Before reaching the curve, turn right on San Miguel street towards the Cubo flour mill and enter a narrow path to the left in order to take the road of Pedralén. This stretch is part of the Alhama Green Trail and, from here, it goes to Aguilar del Río Alhama. Path to Pedralén (10 min) The road has been integrated into the route of the Alhama Green Trail, by which Aguilar del Río Alhama is reached between orchards. The path leads up to a hill where, on clear days, you can see the silhouette of the Moncayo Mountain in the distance. A little after starting the descent from the hill, leave the path and take a trail on the left. This will be a 30 minute route that goes up a ravine with stone terraces and almond trees, until it reaches a path. Trail (1 h 05 min) Take the path on the left that circles almond-tree plantations, ignoring a path that opens on the left in the curve. Afterwards, pass next to a shack and continue down the path that soon becomes a trail that descends towards the road that leads to the village of Valdegutur. Valdegutur (2 h) Continue on the right and before reaching the town you will pass next to the Chapel of San Joaquín. After the first houses, take the path that leads directly to a fountain with basin. The path continues straight on. On the right you have the option of taking a 5 minute detour to see the dam of Embalse de Añamaza. Ascend the path to climb the ravine, next to some pens and houses in ruins, until you reach a hill and a road crossing. Hill (2 h 30 min) From here, you can see in the distance the village of Valverde de Cervera. Descend straight down the path that passes next to vineyards and almond-tree plantations, and leave the cemetery access to the left before reaching the scale and a crossroads. Continue straight until you reach the road. Valverde (3 h 00 min) Turn right towards Valverde and leave the pools and the retirement home on the right before crossing the Soria-Castejón railroad crossing, without barriers. You arrive at the N-113 road, in the borderline with the province of Zaragoza.

Cervera del Río Alhama is a municipality in the province of La Rioja, Spain. The town is in the southeast of the region at the foot of the Alcarama Mountains, covering 152.6 km². Other towns such as Cabretón, Aguilar, Valverde, Fitero and Cintruénigo are close to Cervera del Río and the town itself is around 30 km from Tudela and 87 km from Logroño, via Arnedo and Grávalos (100 km if you go via Calahorra). Natural values
Mid-mountain area with a deforested landscape and various Mediterranean shrubs, especially aromatics such as thyme, lavender and rosemary. Next to the Alhama River, you can find several cliffs of great interest to rock-nesting birds, with a significant colony of vultures nesting on the shelves and hollows in these cliffs and escarpments. This area is included in the land under the Natura 2000 network (Mountain range of Alcarama y Valle del Alhama), which comprises both the SPAB (Special Protection Area for Birds) and the SCI (Site of Community Importance) previously designated with the same denomination.
