Long Description:

Sorzano is a municipality in the autonomous region of La Rioja in the western Iregua Valley and some 17 km from the region's capital city Logroño. The area borders Sojuela and Nalda to the east and Entrena to the north. There is a council district to the south shared by Sorzano, Nalda and Viguera.
-Location: It is part of the district of Logroño. It is in the western Iregua Valley.
-Area: 10.07 km2.
-Height: 719 metres.
-Economy: The main activity is farming, particularly grain.

Tourism resources:

The Parish Church of San Martín (16th century) is of Renaissance style and is built in granite. Old mill. Centenary black poplar in the Don Santiago Nobajas square.

Local festivals: "Procession of the 100 Maidens," on the third Sunday in May. This commemorates the traditional tribute of one hundred maidens paid to the Moors during the Spanish Reconquest. On 8 September, Virgen del Roble. On 15 May, San Isidro.
