Long Description:

Igea is a municipality in La Rioja. It is a mountainous municipality and part of the Lower Rioja region in the district of Cervera.
-Location: It is part of the district of Cervera del Río Alhama. The municipal area is in the Linares Valley, separated from the Grávalos depression by the Peñalosa Mountains.
-Area: 56.1 km2.
-Height: 546 metres.
-Economy: The main activity is farming: grain, grapes, olives, almonds, potatoes and fruit and vegetables. Igea is also known for its honey.

Tourism resources:

The Palace of the Marquis of Casatorre is one of the best civil architecture buildings in La Rioja. It was started in 1525 and finished in 1729. It has a square floor plan and linked brick walls with black basalt dressed stone. The highlight is the great portal of the main facade with an imperial staircase completed with an dome with sections. The 18th century Baroque Parish Church of La Asunción has three naves, rectangular chancel and an octagonal tower at the base. Bridge.
