Hornillos de Cameros is a municipality in the autonomous region of La Rioja, in the basin formed by the River Leza and in the district of Camero Viejo.
-Location: It is part of the district of Torrecilla en Cameros. The municipality spreads out between the Cameros Viejo Mountains and the Vadillos Valley.
-Area: 12 km2.
-Height: 1,152 metres.
-Economy: The area has been deforested due to forest fires and excessive felling linked to heavy livestock farming. The municipality has lost nearly its entire population.
Local San Félix Church (15th century). San Félix was a hermit during the Middle Ages that retired into a cave of the Nido Cuervo mountain near Hornillos. In the 16th century Church of La Asunción, a building in masonry and rough ashlar, a full-scale reliquary bust of the Saint is kept. It has a single nave with four sections, high chapels, and an octagonal chancel with three facing walls. Rough stone houses with the typical mountain architecture.
