Long Description:

Hormilleja is a municipality in the autonomous region of La Rioja. It is in the district of Nájera at the point where the Najerilla and Tuerto Rivers meet. To the north and northwest it borders San Asensio, to the east it borders the administrative area of Somalo and to the south and west it borders Nájera. Its inhabitants are known as «Chinches».
-Location: It is part of the district of Nájera.
-Area: 7.3 km2.
-Height: 496 metres.
-Economy: The main activity is farming, mainly barley, wheat, beet and potatoes.

Tourism resources:

The Santa Catalina Church is 18th century Baroque, except for the baptistery from the 20th century. It is built in ashlar and masonry, and has a single three section nave, chancel covered by crossed vaults, high choir and baptistery at the base.
