Long Description:

Herce is a municipality in La Rioja covering 17.8 km2 with a population of 384. It is part of the Lower Rioja region, a sub-district of Arnedo.
-Location: It is part of the district of Arnedo. The municipality lies mid-way along the River Cidacos on the far east of the Arnedo Valley between the Bergasa and Cabimonteros Mountains.
-Area: 17.1 km2.
-Height: 593 metres.
-Economy: The main activity is dry farming and the most common crops are grapes, olives and fruit trees.

Tourism resources:

Emblazoned noblemen mansions with forge grill work. The San Esteban Parish, from the beginning of the 16th century, is an ashlar building with a single nave, transept and an octagonal chancel with low chapels between the sections of the nave. The highlight of the interior is the reredos of the altar.
