Long Description:

Gimileo is a municipality in the autonomous region of La Rioja. The River Zamaca crosses the municipality and is a tributary of the River Ebro.
-Location: It is part of the district of Haro. It is on the left bank of the River Ebro.
-Area: 34.1 km2.
-Height: 482 metres.
-Economy: Farming is the main activity and the most common crops are grain, grapes, beet and potatoes.

Tourism resources:

The Parish Church of San Martín, from the 16th century, is built in ashlar. It has a single nave, square chancel, two chapels, sacristy, and tower at the base. In its interior it preserves a 18th century great reredos.

Local festivals: Thanksgiving, at the end of August or beginning of September (varies). On the closest weekend to 11 November, San Martín. A bonfire is lit on Saturday and, on Sunday morning, women pick up the embers to use them in braziers, since 1630.
