Little is preserved of this building that changed into Christian hands when this area was conquered by Ordoño II de León and Sancho I Garcés de Navarra in 923. It is located in the first step of the Camero Viejo Mountains, where the gorge of the Leza River is sighted. According to the legend, a battle between Arabs and Christians took place in this place. The latter were the winners owing to the help of Santiago Apóstol. The San Prudencio Cluniac Abbey was built in the 12th century.
