WINE TOURISM IN LA RIOJA

In La Rioja, wine is more than a beverage - it’s a shared culture.

Park conversations, people’s lives, the news... even the name of the region!! In La Rioja, everything focuses on a single star product: wine. Wine is culture, a way of life that you can experience when you visit La Rioja.
You don’t have to know a lot about wine, you don’t even have to like it! Wine tourism is packed with exciting activities to cater to all types of visitors. You can visit a vineyard to learn about the hard work that goes into wine production, practice sports surrounded by vines, see what’s its like to tread grapes or perform other tasks. You’ll obviously be able to visit a winery, or two, or three... Out of the 500 wineries in the region, over 80 offer tourist visits in La Rioja. You can admire the treasures of the wine museum and see how fun learning is with a tasting course. Wine is for sharing, and it’s best paired with gastronomy. Having lunch at a bodega or enjoying a menu where each dish is paired with a specific wine is a unique experience. But there’s more to wine tourism than wining and dining: you don’t have to drink wine to enjoy it. wine therapy treatment maximising the antioxidant properties found in Rioja grapes.

Recorre las riberas de los ríos Najerilla, Iregua y Leza y ofrece a los mototuristas un itinerario singular por su belleza y elementos de protección.

Este recorrido consta de 188,8 kilómetros, además de 1.303 curvas, y atraviesa hasta 29 municipios de la región. El trazado permite apreciar parajes naturales como Sierra Cebollera (Villoslada de Cameros), el mirador del Cañón de Río Leza (Soto en Cameros), las Dolinas de Zenzano (Lagunilla del Jubera), los hayedos de Tobía o las cuevas de Ortigosa de Cameros.

Valle del Najerilla

Pueblos: Alesón, Tricio, Baños de Río Tobía, Bobadilla, Anguiano, Viniegra de Abajo, Viniegra de Arriba.

Nº de curvas: 652.

Longitud: 77,30 km.

Valle del Iregua

Pueblos: Entrena, Medrano, Hornos de Moncalvillo, Sotes, Ventosa, Villoslada de Cameros, Villanueva, de Cameros, Ortigosa de Cameros, El Rasillo de Cameros, Nieva de Cameros, Almarza de Cameros.

Nº de curvas: 397.

Longitud: 72,50 km.

Valle del Leza

Pueblos: Muro en Cameros, Jalón de Cameros, San Román de Cameros, Terroba, Soto en Cameros, Leza del Río Leza, Ribafrecha, Villamediana de Iregua, Alberite, Lardero.

Nº de curvas: 386.

Longitud: 52,47 km.

 

 

Sinuosas carreteras abren las puertas de La Rioja en su frontera con Castilla y León, y recorren paisajes cambiantes y sorprendentes. La diversidad natural se traslada a sierras, valles, cañones y hermosas cascadas. Envueltas en este entorno privilegiado, emergen huellas culturales que dan lustre a este terruño, que es también paso del Camino de Santiago.

La cultura del vino baña horizontes y costumbres en casi todos los rincones del territorio. El enoturismo riojano sugiere experiencias y recuerdos exclusivos, siempre acompañados de una gastronomía rica y diversa, basada en un producto de calidad. El estilo de vida autóctono está impregnado de ese disfrute por los placeres cotidianos.

En los Cameros, perviven pueblos encantadores, pétreos en su belleza rural, y recuerdos de trashumancia y emigración. El rastro colonial en muchas localidades ha legado algunos magníficos ejemplos de arte indiano. Sobre dos ruedas, las historias se entrelazan entre curvas y pasados comunes.

Esta tierra, que fue un día esparcimiento de dinosaurios, es auténtica en su folclore. La fiesta y el homenaje se traslada a danzadores, vendimiadores, cronistas medievales o incluso carreras de caracoles. La peculiaridad de cada casa es la de toda la Comunidad Autónoma.

En esta Ruta de los Tres Valles (Najerilla, Leza e Iregua), La Rioja ruge en distancias cortas y el asfalto serpentea hacia todos los destinos.
