Albelda de Iregua

Located in the town of Albelda, Almazara Valle del Iregua started its activities in 2008 with the purpose of encouraging olive tree growing in the Iregua Valley. The García Cámara family started its olive operations by planting 20 hectares of organic Arbequina, from which they make their own oil. Sold under the Candor and Santificetur brands, they received an award at the Ecotrama 2009 organic oil international competition; a recognition of the good work of Almazara Valle del Iregua during its first year of existence. Tours include a route throughout the olive-oil mill and a tasting of our oils. At the end of the tour, a lunch is offered with Rioja Wine. The price of the tour also includes a bottle of CANDOR brand organic oil. There is a shop at the mill where you can purchase all our oils. Groups of at least 8 peopleTour lasts approx. 2 hours and 30 minutesPrice per person €12

Almazara Riojana, is a family company with extensive experience in olive-growing. It was founded in 2008 and produces top-quality extra virgin olive oil. It was founded with the aim of creating a highly-expressive product. To this end, we personally look after the olives on the olive trees, during the harvest, production and distribution. It sells its conventional and organic oils under the Oleus and Ecoleus brands. They are grown under the Aceite de La Rioja protected designation of origin and sold mainly in gourmet markets. The firm also provides olive grove assessment and maintenance services.

It is a blend of native olive varieties. The main olive varieties used are Redondilla, Arbequina, Empeltre and Picual. We organise guided tours for groups. Baños de Río Tobía

Las visitas consistirán en un paseo comentado por las instalaciones de la empresa, con una breve introducción sobre la historia de nuestra familia, y un repaso del siglo de tradición familiar elaborando embutidos de forma artesanal.Se explicará con detalle todo el proceso de fabricación de los diferentes embutidos, visitando el lugar donde se encontraba el antiguo matadero, el actual obrador y la sala de oreo, que vienen siendo utilizados durante los últimos 60 años, y los extraordinarios secaderos naturales.La curación de nuestros embutidos es un proceso completamente artesanal, controlando pacientemente la temperatura y humedad del embutido mediante la apertura y cierre manual de puertas y ventanas de estos tradicionales secaderos, además de con braseros de carbón de leña de haya. Aquí el visitante podrá deleitarse con las instalaciones y las explicaciones del proceso que, todavía hoy, sigue haciéndose igual que hace más de 100 años.A continuación, se visitará una pequeña exposición de antigua maquinaria y de aperos que se han usado en la empresa desde sus inicios hasta nuestros días, concluyendo con una degustación de varios embutidos en el viejo calao familiar y acompañada de una copa de vino de D. O. Ca. Rioja.La visita y explicaciones se podrán adaptar y personalizar a las necesidades del grupo.

Organic and protected by a designation of origin, Hejul oil has received awards for its quality at several national and international competitions. The good work of the olive-oil mill also attracts hundreds of olive growers each year who make use of the third party toll pressing service during the season.
