Posada del Arriero is a late 19th century house renovated by its current owners, which has been converted into an attractive and comfortable rural holiday accommodation in the Iregua Valley, at the foot of Moncalvillo hills and just 17 km from Logroño. Inside, the decor is rustic style with a modern touch, featuring large stone walls, terracotta floors and thick wooden beams. From the balconies on the façades we see that we are in the main village square with the Renaissance church of San Martín built in 1538 and can see a hundred-year old tree, an important central point of the village.
There are five bedrooms, of which two are single, two double and one suite. The décor of each room is different and in line with the place and surroundings, with rustic furniture and different different country motifs giving each room a a personal and welcoming touch. They have TV, free room service and welcome product. All rooms have full bathroom and four of them with hydromassage column, hairdryer. On the ground floor there is a dining room for breakfast and living room with fireplace, library and board games, free Internet connection.
We are in a privileged enclave of the community of L Rioja, between the Sierra de Cameros and the administrative district of Logroño in the heart of Iregua Valley. A fews km from St James' Way and the Wine Route. 30 minutes from the Monastery of San Millán, World Heritage Site, cradle of the Castilian language. The Cañada Real track passes through our district. We have multiple hiking routes to enjoy the Sierra de Moncalvillo. Guided tours to wineries, museums and monasteries. 18-hole golf course less than 2 km and nearby municipal sports ground, routes on horseback.
A few metres from the house you will find our Restaurant “El Arriero” where you can taste our typical dishes.
