La Facultad de Castroviejo is a different holiday cottage, with an avant-garde style combined with traditional elements. It has been inspired by the Spanish university atmosphere, with university degrees, banners, documents of different faculties etc. hanging on its walls...Its rooms have suggestive names like Ciencias, Derecho, Empresariales or Biología.
The House is set on a privileged site, one thousand metres above sea level, surrounded by beech woods, over Yalde Reservoir and the town of Castroviejo.
Its situation in La Rioja geography allows us to take many cultural and leisure trips, as we are beside St James' Way, in the administrative district of Nájera, court of kings,close to the Route of the Monasteries with San Millan at the head, and the Wine Route with interesting towns and villages such as Haro, Briones,San Asensio,San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Cenicero....and just 20 minutes from Logroño, capital of La Rioja and famous for its old town, Cathedral, shops and famous street, Calle Laurel.
Our cuisine is very traditional, but we like to surprise our customers with subtle innovative touches.
The restaurant service is available to guests and the public.
We have a charming garden with fantastic views, where you can enjoy vine-grilled meat and fish dishes or have a drink under the stars listening to owls calling in the woods.
